Transport information

Flights to Santander:

Several daily connections from Madrid and Barcelona airports. International connections, including London, Paris, Milan or Dublin (among others) are also available. Check them all at: AENA Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport.

Santander Airport is 5 km from the city. There are taxis and a bus service to the downtown. Bus (S4) runs every 40 minutes, from 07:20 to 22:30, from the airport to the bus station. Suggested hotels are 5-10 min walking from the bus station.

Flights to Bilbao:

From Bilbao Airport, renting a car or taking a taxi to Santander (100 km). By bus, connections from the airport to Bilbao Intermodal bus station and, then, an intercity bus to Santander. Bus (A3247), every 30 minutes (5:00-22:00), from Bilbao Airport to Bilbao Intermodal bus station, in the city centre. Buses from Bilbao Intermodal to Santander bus station at different times (check: ALSA routes). Suggested hotels are 5-10 min walking from the bus station.
